It’s a bit like missing a car accident: we can’t help but look. We have been waiting for the official announcement of Salto’s death for several months. The first rumors started last November, but were ultimately not followed up. Then, a few weeks ago, judicial liquidation was mentioned for January 20, but still no action was taken.
One thing is for sure, TF1, France Télévisions and M6 really want to get rid of Salto. When will it be seen? According to the information given by Le Figaro, last close. The newspaper announced that the general assembly would be held from the board of directors. “next days”, when will it be decided judicial liquidation in the following weeks.

By then, television channels had already thrown in the towel. As our colleagues at Numerama noted, several programs are no longer pre-existing on the platform, as before – this was one of the main selling points of this. It’s one of many signs that the streaming service has been abandoned by its creators.
Likewise, the latter no longer promote the platform on its antennas. No more hearing that such a program is available in Salto: from now on, you’ll have to make do with your good old TV, and that’s despite a few 800,000 users that the offer managed to attract. As these are gradually stripped of their advantage, it is easy to imagine that they will soon take turns leaving the ship. Netflix won’t be too worried in the end.
