I prefer to switch between Dark Mode and Night Shift on my Mac to prevent the screen from straining the eyes. What makes the latter so useful is the ability to automatically shift the color of the screen to the warmer end of the color spectrum after dark, making it much easier for the eyes to see the content. Using the Mac’s time and geolocation, Night Shift determines when sunset is and kicks in to change colors. In this guide, I will show you how you can customize and use Night Shift on your Mac.
